How It Works

Using the form, you will send me up to three publishing-related questions by email. These can be about submissions, small presses, agents, query timing, red flags, contracts, publishing paths, platform expectations, marketing concerns, or what your next move should be. I will read your questions carefully and respond with direct, practical guidance based on my experience as a publisher, editor, and publishing strategist. This is not a full consultation, manuscript evaluation, or long-term strategy plan. It is focused, private guidance designed to help you stop spinning and make a clearer decision.

This is a good fit if you are trying to figure out whether to submit to small presses or agents, whether something in a publishing opportunity feels off, how to interpret advice you have received, what steps to take before querying or submitting, or whether your current plan is helping you or just making you more overwhelmed. You will receive a written email response that answers your questions plainly and honestly. I will not give you vague encouragement, recycled publishing advice, or a one-size-fits-all answer. I will tell you what I see, what I would watch out for, and what I think your next best step could be. This is ideal for writers who need clarity, not hand-holding. It is also ideal for writers who are not ready for a full consult but still want guidance from someone who works inside publishing every day.

What You Get

You receive one private email response to up to three publishing questions. Your response will include clear answers, practical next steps, and honest guidance about the situation you bring to me. When useful, I may point out risks, missed opportunities, stronger options, or places where you may be overcomplicating the process. This offer does not include a Zoom call, manuscript reading, query letter edit, contract review by an attorney, or ongoing back-and-forth. It is designed to be simple, focused, and useful.
